The Neurobehavioral Wellness Center (NWC) provides psychological and neuropsychological services to individuals across the lifespan. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of children and adolescents with an array of presenting issues, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, executive functioning difficulties, etc. Located in South Jersey, close to all major bridges, we are conveniently accessible to the tri-state area. We are a practice of doctoral level psychologists and neuropsychologists from a variety of backgrounds and expertise providing testing, diagnostics, and recommendations for the treatment of numerous neuropsychological and psychological disorders.
The NWC has providers trained in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis of children and adolescents starting around 3 years of age. We diagnose ASD and help to develop treatment plans and provide referrals based on the children's specific need, which differs across all children. We even have an office dog! (Although she can always take a 'personal day' for those afraid of dogs.)
We also work to ensure our parents seek the early intervention, school services, medical interventions, private therapies, and/or rehabilitation their child will need, such as speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Additionally, we have doctors trained in special education law, and have worked in the schools as school psychologists. This lends a specific expertise when the doctor can pair this knowledge with the findings of a neuropsychological evaluation to make pertinent recommendations for school programming. Our psychological services consist of traditional talking psychotherapy with a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy orientation approach. Because of the mental health crisis in this country, we expanded the practice and have doubled the size of our previous physical space to add more practitioners to our growing team.
Lastly, we provide abbreviated ADHD evaluations for adults, many of which are the parents of our patients. As we gain more knowledge of ADHD and understand the differences in male and female presentation, more and more adults ask themselves if they have been carrying these difficulties with them their whole life. We work with several physicians in the area, and the community at large, to provide brief, focused evaluations that will answer the question, Do I have ADHD?

Testimonials
"Our experience with Dr. Arcari has been incredible from the very beginning. As she was highly recommended to us by family and friends, we were confident that she would provide us with the guidance we were seeking for our children. We visited her for full evaluations for two of our children, one struggling with a learning disability and one facing behavioral challenges. Dr. Arcari has a wonderful presence that automatically makes her patients and their families feel comforted and understood. She creates a safe space where her patients feel free to speak with ease and surely know they are being heard.
Not only are her evaluations extremely thorough and engaging for the children, but her follow-ups and reports are remarkably detailed and presented with utmost care and professionalism. We absolutely love Dr. Arcari and her entire practice for giving us a refreshing place to find answers for our children and the resources to advocate for them in school and for their future."
